The City of Arts and Sciences is a unique complex devoted to scientific and cultural dissemination which is made up of five main elements: the Hemisfèric (IMAX cinema and digital projections), the Umbracle (a landscaped vantage point and car park), the Príncipe Felipe Science Museum (an innovative centre of interactive science), the Oceanográfico (the largest aquarium in Europe with over 500 marine species) and the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía (which takes care of the operatic programme). The Ágora will give the complex a multifunctional space.

Along an axis of just under two kilometres that was formerly the bed of the River Turia, this complex promoted by the Generalitat Valenciana has striking architecture - designed by Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela - and an endless capacity for entertaining and stimulating the minds of its visitors. In its various buildings they can get to know different aspects of science, technology, nature, and art.

Sleep with sharks
The Oceanográfico offer you the opportunity to sleep surrounden by sharks an to spend an adventurous night with your friends, your parents, or your school. After a supper and a previous activity, you will have the chance to sleep in the Océanos Tower that represents a voyage through the Atlantic Ocean and where species such as the bull shark and the grey shark can be seen together with the sawfish and the sunfish, among others.

Star Trek. Welcome Aboard
The 'Enterprise' has landed at the Science Museum, here in Europe for the very first time, with a new exhibition on this classic TV series. You can pilot the starship from the control bridge and visit a set that will beam you up to the 23rd century in search of strange new worlds. The exhibition includes costumes and original props, a lifesize recreation of the control bridge, models and real items and audiovisual contents.

Among Dinosaurs
The Umbracle at the City of Arts and Sciences is holding Europe's biggest ever exhibition of robotic dinosaurs. 'Among Dinosaurs' exhibits replicas that range from 2.5-metres tall, such as the Stegosaurus, to the 27metre long Diplodocus, not forgetting the 14-metre Tyrannosaurus Rex. In total, there are 26 robots of different species that look utterly lifelike and that can recreate a wide range of movements and sounds that will amaze any visitor.

Through these IMAX images, the audience will discover the lost city of Madain Saleh and its ancient tombs, travel with a caravan of camels along the spice route and will also travel to the Islamic Golden Age. 'Arabia' tells the story of a young Arab brought up in Chicago who decides to return to the homeland of his parents. On his journey, he discovers that is inheriting an extraordinary culture.
